SAVE FERVENTLY, MY FRIENDS!

Since the 'Industrialization Era', especially the 20th century, we have been departing from our basic norms and value system. We are no longer able to save some of our earnings, no matter how small. Instead we are besieged with various debts and bills which keep piling up as the days speed by. This is definitely the wrong direction to thread. We need to realize that it is time to go back to the basics. We have to start saving now. If you have started already, then no slacking! An era that cannot learn from the mistakes of the past will definitely repeat them and that can have adverse repercussions. This is one of the reasons for the Global Economic Crisis whose effect are still felt today. I hope we will learn this time because we might not recover if another Meltdown occurs; come to think of it,this century is still young.

Having a good saving system is one of the fundamental requirements for you to succeed in life irrespective of your field of endeavor. You can ask those who have achieved their desired Successes in life; they How can you achieve your desired successes if you cannot save effectively?

Saving is that amount of money from our basic earnings which we put aside for future use. It can be in the form of a percentage. You can also save by investing in 'low - risk' ventures. Though the returns maybe minimal, in the long run you will surely come out tops!. Do not invest your savings in a 'get rich quick venture' or any venture that is too good to be true; it probably isn't. Most of them lead to nowhere but failure.

The beauty of saving is that it pays! notwithstanding your position in life. Whether you are very rich or not, you get the same results over time! The only problem is human impatience which does not allow most of us to take this immeasurable advantage.Imagine if you are able to save a few dollars a week and you continue this trend for some years without stopping. You would have been able to amass a reasonable amount of wealth for yourself without much stress. My friends, when you save fervently, you will lose nothing but you have everything to gain.Start saving today no matter how small and you will be glad you did...

INTEGRITY COUNTS ON YOUR ROAD TO SUCCESS AND RICHES

Integrity is the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral principles or professional standards.

My Friends, Building a strong character requires having integrity. You MUST integrate; become consistent in your values, thoughts and actions. Margaret Mead stated 'what people say, what people do, and what people say they do, are entirely different things’. Amazingly, there are some who actually promote this inconsistency.

Let us understand that there is a big difference between Impression and Integrity. Impressions are like shadows they disappear when a strong enough light is shone on them. Integrity is the genuine article; the more you shine the light on it, the more of its details you can see. Integrity shows that you truly are who you appear to be.

People of integrity always stand out. Author Pat Williams tells of Mahatma Gandhi's trip to England to speak before Parliament. The British government had opposed India's independence and as a result Gandhi had often been threatened, arrested and jailed. Gandhi spoke eloquently and passionately for two hours, after which the packed hall gave him a Standing Ovation. Afterward, a reporter asked Gandhi Assistant how the statesman had been able to deliver such a speech without notes. 'You don't understand Gandhi', he responded. 'What he thinks is what he feels. What he feels is what he says. What he says is what he does. What Gandhi feels, thinks, says and does, is all the same. So he doesn't need notes'. Now that’s what I call INTEGRITY!!!

IMPROVE SPENDING HABITS: DETER FROM FALSE VALUES AND IMPUSIVE SPENDING

Some of the things we spend our money on; we feel they important or necessary to us, turn out to be frivolous in the long run. It happens to all of us sometimes. Thus is why we end up in desperate financial situations. In most instances, the culprit is usually Impulsive Spending which usually comes about when a person feels - accurately or not - that he or she needs some object or service or when there is easy access to ready money.

If you are trying to curb your spending or trying to start spending more responsibly, you will want to ask yourself the following questions:
-Do you often find yourself tempted to spend for spending sake? -Do you often feel a need to have the latest clothes and gadgets? - Do you often spend on things that you do not really want or need? -Do you often feel you need to spend in order to have a good time?
While there are a few instances in life where we cannot avoid spending money, there are many situations where we can avoid having to spend more than is necessary. This means that we have to recognize and understand our spending habits so that we can improve on them.

My friends, we do not want to allow our 'learned' behavior guide us towards debts and hard times. It is better to take control of your money in a direct and conscientious way that enables us to spend more wisely. Keep your financial behavior in control and you will learn a lot about your habits and how to change them for the better. However, let us not forget that improving our spending habits begins in the mind...

THINK BIG!!!

'go for the moon. if you do not get it, you will be -heading for a star'

Now that we have seen (last post) that a man is really who or what he thinks he is, the problem is: what does he think about?

We should always ensure that big, positive thought occupy our minds to enable us enter the Road to Success in life. Each time we embark on a challenge or task, we should have success at the back of our minds no matter how difficult they may appear. There is an African saying that goes like this: 'the eyes are always phobic’; this means that is a task can seem hard to undertake but when you start, you will realize that it is even the opposite! We should not allow our eyes and other people's negative thoughts to deter us in our quest to achieve our desired success.

However, we should not confuse thinking big with day dreaming. The main difference between the latter and the former is working towards achieving our desires. A man can think about an idea all his life without working towards realizing it. Another man can think about the same idea for a few weeks; push all his effort towards materializing it and at the each of the day he becomes a success. Therefore as we are thinking big we should also remember that it is through hard work that we can realise our 'Big Thoughts'...

THINK, MY FRIENDS, THINK!!!

'A man is what he thinks he is’.
This is a phrase that has been guiding me all my life and will continue to guide me till the Hereafter. Whatever you think about yourself is definitely what you are and not really what other people think. I am not saying that others' thought of you may not be true, but they might not be absolutely correct. This is because we are all different people with different pattern of thought; furthermore no two human minds work alike. Our minds may have the same mechanism for thinking but the outputs are always different. This is one of the mysteries of life.

For instance, the old postman who delivers mails to your household may appear to you as not being Rich and Successful: He earns little. However, in his (the postman) thoughts he is highly Successful and rich: He trained all 3 of his children in University and he is going to complete the payment on his house by next year when he retires. On the other hand, your neighbor who drives a 2009 Mercedes E-Class may appear very Rich and Successful to you, but he does not think so himself: His mortgages are piling up, the stock market plunge has taking a toll on him. So you see! Things may not really be as they appear.

To be successful in life, we MUST have positive thoughts about our future no matter how grim our present situation may appear to others. Also, a man can appear to others to be on the right road to success and riches, but his thinking maybe negative or immaterial; this is definitely not good: the end point will always be mistakes and failure. We should always ensure that we are thinking positively at all times, so that we can not only appear successful to others, but also in our own minds. Come to think of it, at the end of the day when others leave you, it is only your thoughts that will remain with you...

YOU ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO SUCCEED!!!

The Road to Success has become very daring especially since the advent of the Global Economic Recession that hit the entire world in the past year. In the developed nations, this has lead to massive job losses, plummeting of stocks and general loss of confidence in the system. The developing economies are not left out in the whole saga. In my home country (Nigeria), there is massive withdrawal of Investment by foreign partners which has lead to high depreciation in economic stance and coupled with the drop in crude oil prices, it has not been easy.

Despite the whooping amount of money pumped into the global economy by the leading Economies like America, the Global economy is yet to fully recover from the recession. Some world leaders like the French leader (Sarkozy) have called for revolutionary change in economic policies worldwide. Will this solve the problem? The Americans (Obama) have pumped funds into various sectors of their economy to ensure that they will not collapse; will this provide long-term solution to the problem? The question is this: What happens next?

Despite all these challenges, I believe that succeeding in life in the present situation requires RECESSION-PROOF SKILLS that will guide us in achieving all we want to achieve. A pertinent point is that most people are not doing the right thing to get them on this important road to success or they are simply doing the right thing in the wrong way which is very common. Before we can fully enter the road to success, we have to believe and have faith that will surely succeed despite the many road blocks abound on the road to success.

Dear friend, understand that the road to riches and wealth is not as difficult as we think it is. Many of us may have gone into various ventures in the past and did not succeed, and subsequently decided to give up on success simply because we have tried and failed. This is wrong, my friends. According to T. Roosevelt:

'Far better it is to dare Mighty things, to win Glorious Triumphs, even though checkered by Failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they lie in the Gray Twilight that knows not Victory nor Defeat'.

Think about that!!!!!!!...
